SO David and I got the apartment:) PRAISE THE LORD! Today we put down the deposit for the reception. I can't beleive I have only 30 days left till I am married! I can't wait:) It is starting to get SUPER busy now,which is cool but sort a stressful too.
I have a question for all you ladies that are planning on comming up.
Are any of you girls plannig on coming up for the bachlorette party? It is on Thursday the 21st. I don't have FULL details on times or what we will be doing but I think it will be pretty chill. Let me know if you are plannig on comming so I can tell Cherice how many girls to expect:)

11:33 am - PRAISE THE LORD!!!

We got the apartment:) We got a co-signer and got a call yesterday saying that we got the apartment and that we qualified for the lowest security deposit(which saves us like 400 bucks) So, David is going to be moving in next week(LUCKY BUM) to "prepare a place for me" ...HEHE! And I will be obviously moving in after the mawage!
I am SO excited !!!! I REALLY wish I could move in to. I live like 20 miles/40 minutes form work and our new place is like 15 minutes away from work, but I will just have to wait it out and be paitent. I don't know if I was expecting to not find a place but I was sincerly afraid that we wouldn't and taht we would have to spend our newlywed time at his parents house....BLAH....That would be horrible. I LOVE Davids parents but their house is just not somewhere I want to stay when I am married. So, the biggest part of the wedding is taken care of:) We have a place to live now..HOORAY!!! My bridal shower is this weekend:) I am going to be collecting LOTS of lingere!!! I am VERY excited about that:) I am excitre dto FINALLY be able to start collecting that type fo clothing/non clothing because before now,there was no point. BUT NOW, I have a reason to be girlie and HOTT! HA! Sorry guys! I am just really excited:) I am also, VERY VERY excited to see all of you that are coming up. I can't wait to have a fatty dance party with you guys!!!!

ONLY 39 MORE DAYS!!!!!
CRAZY stuff has been happening. My (soon to be)Mother in law got a free computer from a friend of hers ........and it is SO SO SO SLOW:( So I rarely go on the internet anymore. We found an apartment we would like to live in...that is good news. BUT, of course things can't go smoothly for me. I found out that someone in Texas has used my identity to get residency so now I have that to deal with that. AND, I got approved for the apartment but David hasn't yet....what good does that do. If he doesn't get approved he can't move in....DUMB! I am starting my fittings and alterations tomorrow:) I have a feeling that it's not going to get crazy until like 20 days before maybe even 2 weeks before.
I got a promotion at work and my contract got extended till September. No sign of a permenant position yet but I am praying it happens. My contracr was supposed to end in June so it's nice to know I have a job till September. WHAT ELSE..........
I AM SUPER EXCITED TO SEE YOU GUYS!!!!
PLease keep David and I in your prayers as we go throught his apartment situation!

We are FINALLY sending out our invitations this weekend:) I wanted to make sure I had EVERYONE'S addresses. If you don't remember giving me yours or if you just want to be safe and give it to me anyways, that would be MARVELOUS!!!!!

11:43 pm - PRAYER TIME!!:)

David and I are potentially going to be renting/buying a house!!!! HUGE I know. In order to successful get this house David needs to get a few more clients with his job (he is an independent contractor and helps special needs adults) so we could afford the rent on any place we live for that matter.
I am just starting to get REALLY anxious to the point where I am not sleeping well and I constantly have a stomach ache. David has 4 (possibly 5) interviews set up for more clients, so now we just need prayer that everything will work out. I know that whatever happens is the Lord's will,so I just need prayer that I will chill out!
Oh, we have 2 options
1. to buy the house and just take over payments(NO CREDIT CHECKS)
2. Just rent for with the intent to buy in a few years
The former is our decision:) Renting is cheaper right now......we can always buy later if we have the means to do so.
PLEASE PRAY!!!!!!!!
For my sanity and for Davids job!!!!

11:53 am - Update-A-Roo!!!

I STILL don't have a car, BUT Volvo Chris is going to trade with me....he has a 1985-86 240 Volvo that is in WAY better condition.....it has leather seats and a sunroof and the whole shabang:) David and I are hopefully going to pick it up tonight.
My new job is wack!!!! I run subrdinations for Wells Fargo, but their training is RIDICULOUS!!! They pretty much just showed us what to do by watching them (which took two days) and then expect us to remember ALL of it...SILLY PEOPLE! And the hours are 3-8pm which is not horrible but it's in the middle of the evening and I like doing things with people..like going to movies and stuff and all of those things happen in the middle of my shift....AND .....the kicker, we have to park a mile away from the building and take a shuttle to and from work, not only is that a pain but it's unsafe!!!!!! So, I am going to be looking for another job while I am here.

So my "trusty" Volvo has now broken down 4 times:(
REALLY?
Lucky for me,the guy I bought it from is SUPER nice and feels HORRIBLE and s buying it back from me.......BUT now I am back at square one,only this time I REALLY need a car. I start my new job on Tuesday and as of right now, I have no way of getting there! I am SO tired of Satan and with him trying to take away all of my blessings!!!!!! SERIOUSLY......it's getting sort of ridiculous!

If you want a good deal, now is a good time to buy tickets for May:) I personally LOVE flying with Alaska Air..........I HATE flying,BUT it's ALWAYS a pleasant flight with them. Not like SW or Delta.....BLAH!

I can't believe we only have 4 months left.
So much to do .......But we have taken care of the big things, minus where we are going to live.
With the left over money from the car, David and I bought our honeymoon to Kauai:) We are SUPER excited. We are staying at the Westin Princeville Resort Ocean Villas

AND we secured our reception site.........I am so excited to get married! I am a little worried that I haven't found a job yet. I am sending out resumes daily and NOTHING......it's really frustrating.

I got a car .......it's pretty awesome!
Its a 1975 242 DL Volvo.......and it's BRIGHT ORANGE!!!!!! I bought it from a Volvo mechanic...he is fixing up all the little issues with the car. I bought it for only 900 or 850 if he can't find the face plate to the radio. I will post pictures later. I am picking it up today!!!!

So after hounding the insurance company for almost a month, someone FINALLY called me back yesterday giving me an amount they wanted to settle with..........
and that amount is.......(DRUM ROLL)
$6,028 buckaroos!!!!!!!
The adjuster came by today and gave me the check in exchange for the title to the Passat, which I am cool with because I was gonna sell it anyways!
How awesome is that......I wanted to sell it for $6000.....HA!!!! God is SO good:)
So today I am going to look at a few cars for $1500 bucks......GOOD OLE VOLVOS!
And the rest of the money is going to pay off a few bills, HONEYMOON in Kauai and more wedding stuff!!!!!

12:28 am - update!!
|
By the grace of God someone gave me (as a gift) money to pay for the rest of my dress!!!! I had (up until Saturday)only 10 days to find $209 and on Friday someone handed me a card with the money in it!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD! So now we just have to pray for the funds to buy invitations and send them out:) David and I came up with some fund raising ideas and we started one of them. We are collecting soda cans and (now) water bottles from the church and from friends and recycling them and saving the profit for our wedding.......so far we have about 30 bucks which is awesome for only 3 days!!!
I am STILL looking for a job......it's hard these days. In 10 days I am moving in with a family from church (rent free) so that when I get a job I can save my money.....that will be nice, but only if I get a job!
My car finally got taken to a body shop to get looked at. I haven't heard anything yet, but David and I are praying it's totaled! If it's totaled I will get more money so we can pay for our honeymoon and still have money left over to buy a 1500 dollar car:)
SO PRAY FOR TOTALLAGE!!!!!!! HA!
When I move to the new place I will have internet more ....THANK GOD! The internet at my apartment now is very unreliable. Oh and my phone is shut off AGAIN, so until I get a phone again the internet will be our only way of contact. The apartment phone will probably be getting shut off in the next couple of days........I may be able to use the phone at the new place but I don't know yet!!! I am sure I will though:)
ANYWHO.......I LOVE YOU GUYS DEARLY! Please keep praying for provision for our wedding!!!

3:40 pm - SURPRISE!!!!!

I have had to stay on Davids couch for the last couple nights because the weather as been SO bad......on Sunday it snowed ALL day and it's been around 30 degrees out so all the snow has turned into ice. So I didn't feel safe driving around in it. Well this morning David was going to follow me home because the roads are better but still a bit slippery,when I got to my car I saw what looked like a parking ticket.....I got closer and I saw the words"SOMEBODY HIT YOUR CAR. I GOT THEIR INFO" .........the passenger side looked totally normal....so I was afraid to see what had happened......well......the WHOLE drivers side of my car has been BASHED in and I can't drive it!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!
What is it with my cars getting hit? This has happened to me before let alone the 4 other accidents I have been in that WEREN'T my fault!
Anywho.........the good news is, is that I have been praying about selling it so I can get a little extra money and then buy a cheaper car (my car is paid off) so this could be a blessing in disguise!
I am a little bit tired of things going wrong for me but enough things are going right that it almost cancels the bad out.
PLEASE PRAY THAT EVERYTHING GOES SMOOTHLY AND THAT I GET A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR THE DAMAGE.

I am moving in 30 days:) I will be living with a family and when I get a job I can just save my money for the wedding!!!!! I am SO excited but VERY nervous at the same time. I have never done anything like this before.....it will be a good experience for me I think.
OH, and I have an interview on Monday!!!!! I let you all know how it goes:)

For the last couple months I have been praying about possibly living with a family (for free) so that when I get a job I can save my money for the wedding and pay bills and stuff.
On Friday night I was HARDCORE praying for a miracle. I either needed money to fall into my lap or find a place to live for free.
Well last Saturday some friends and I were going to hang out at this lady's house Elizabeth is her name. And randomly I asked my friend who knows her well if she had an extra room in the house. Turns out she does.
LONG STORY short.......in January, I am about 85% sure that I will be living with this lady and her family, she has an AWESOME family and they attend my church too:) I am meeting with her and her husband tonight so they can put me on the spotlight and ask me LOTS of questions, so we can get to know each other and see if it would be a good fit.
I am SO excited :)
AND.......last night I was waiting for David to come over. I saw his car drive by so I knew that he was here.......about 10 seconds before he walked in I noticed an envelope sticking on the floor half way sticking out of the door, I bent down and picked it up it said "For Suzy -Rent-"
I ripped it open and as I was ripping it open David walked in.............120 dollars was inside and a 3x5 card saying "The Lord says to Suzy: I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
I have NO IDEA who did it, but all I know is that I payed for a miracle and I got it:)
God is Good and HE always provides at the 12th hour:) ALWAYS and ALL of my worrying WILL not change that so why worry.........
Last week I was reading Matthew 9:24-36 and that helped A LOT!!!!
